The southernmost circuit on the calendar, Jerez is a popular winter testing venue, and hosts the 2015 Formula Renault 3.5 Series finale.

Location: Jerez de la Frontera, Spain
Length: 4.428 km
Opened: 1985
Lap record: 1m23.135s (Heinz-Harald Frentzen, Williams, Formula 1 1997)

The Jerez circuit, picturesquely situated just an hour’s drive north of Gibraltar, is frequently used for pre-season winter testing thanks to the favourable climate of Andalusia and a varied array of corners. It is famous (or rather infamous) for its highly abrasive tarmac, which puts unusual demands on both cars and drivers, and which often sets up surprising results on race weekends.

The key to success, therefore, is adaptability; taking care of the tyres is a must, as is reducing any over- or understeer tendencies.
